Important message about COVID-19 from King's Town Players
King's Town Players has made the difficult decision to cancel our upcoming production of Jitters as a precautionary measure in response to the spread of COVID-19. We are acting in accordance with the advice from local public health authorities. Their recommendations for social distancing would be difficult to guarantee in a theatre setting right now.
It is foremost in our minds to protect the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, staff and artists. We will reevaluate the situation as we move into forward and and anticipate providing an update on our upcoming production of Oleanna or before Friday, April 3, 2020. Thank you for your support as we navigate this ever-changing situation.
We are a non-profit theatre group that values building community. This has been a difficult decision but we feel this is the right decision to keep our community safe and healthy.
What if I have a ticket to Jitters?
We will issue a full refund to you for any tickets purchased for Jitters. All ticket holders will be contacted directly to ensure that they are aware of the refund.
How can I help?
We thank you for your patience, understanding and continued support during these extraordinary times. If you wish to make a donation to support the King's Town Players it will go a long way to ensuring that we are able to continue creating live theatre as soon as the business is back to normal. We will continue to look to the Public Health Agency of Canada, Public Health Ontario and KFL&A Public Health for recommendations, guidance, and direction. As we receive more information, we will provide updates via email and on our website in the coming weeks. We are acting with an abundance of caution as a not-for-profit organization and have carefully considered the tremendous impact of this decision.
Thank you for your patience, support and understanding.
